Terms of Service

The short version

Thoughts is your sanctuary. We provide the tools, you own your mind. Be respectful, don't break things, and we'll keep building a home for your consciousness. Here are the details.

1. Agreement

By creating a sanctuary (account) or using any Thoughts application — including the mobile app, desktop app, or web platform — you agree to these terms. Thoughts is operated by Inner Labs ("we", "us", "our"), a company based in India.

2. Your sanctuary

When you create a sanctuary, you are responsible for:

• •Keeping your credentials secure — your encryption keys are yours alone
• •Any activity that occurs under your account
• •Providing accurate information when creating your sanctuary

You must be at least 13 years old to create a sanctuary.

3. What we provide

Thoughts offers:

• •A private AI companion that serves only you
• •End-to-end encrypted messaging and data storage
• •On-device voice transcription (Desktop app, powered by WhisperKit)
• •Connected service integrations (email, calendar, messaging)
• •Secure thought exchange with your circle

We strive to keep services available and reliable, but we don't guarantee 100% uptime. We're a small team building something meaningful — sometimes things break, and we fix them fast.

4. Subscriptions and payments

Thoughts offers both free and paid tiers:

• •Sanctuary (Free) — On-device AI, basic features
• •Paid tiers — Cloud AI, connected services, advanced features

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly. You can cancel anytime from your account settings or the platform you subscribed through (App Store, Google Play, or web). Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

Refunds for subscriptions purchased through the App Store or Google Play are handled by Apple and Google respectively, per their refund policies.

5. Your content

You own everything you put into Thoughts. Your thoughts, conversations, files, and data belong to you — not us. We claim no ownership or license over your content beyond what's necessary to provide the service to you.

When you share thoughts with others through thought exchange, you grant them the ability to view what you've explicitly chosen to share. You control what goes out.

6. Acceptable use

Your sanctuary is yours, but please don't use Thoughts to:

• ✕Harass, threaten, or harm others
• ✕Distribute malware or engage in hacking
• ✕Violate any applicable laws
• ✕Attempt to access other users' sanctuaries
• ✕Reverse-engineer or exploit the service infrastructure
• ✕Create multiple accounts to abuse free tier limits

7. AI companion

Your AI companion is designed to be helpful, but it's not infallible.

• •AI responses are generated and may contain errors or inaccuracies
• •The companion is not a substitute for professional medical, legal, or financial advice
• •AI capabilities may change as we improve the service

8. Account deletion

You can delete your sanctuary at any time from the app settings. Upon deletion, we permanently remove your personal data, conversations, AI memory, connected service data, and encryption keys. This cannot be undone. See our Privacy Policy for full details on data handling.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your sanctuary if you violate these terms or engage in activity that harms the service or other users. We'll try to warn you first unless the situation is urgent. You can always leave on your own terms by deleting your account.

10. Limitation of liability

Thoughts is provided "as is". While we work hard to keep everything running smoothly, we can't guarantee the service will be error-free or uninterrupted. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Inner Labs is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Thoughts evolves. For significant changes, we'll notify you through the app at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Bangalore, Karnataka, India.
